Ice cream giant Baskin Robbins is offering a special kind of coverage for the sweet and sticky situations in life this Wednesday - Melt Insurance.
For one day only, the chain is offering a replacement for the ice creams lost to this summer's record high temps. On August 14, if your ice cream from any ice cream shop melts before you can eat it, you can get a new scoop for free on the Baskin Robbins app - no proof of melt needed.
To cash in on the promotion, customers will need to download the Baskin Robbins App and create an account if they don't already have one. Then, it's as simple as adding a single scoop to your cart for pickup and entering promo code MELT at checkout. Orders placed through the app are usually available for pickup within 15 minutes.
A few things you should know:
- The offer only works on app and online orders and only applies to the purchase of a single scoop of ice cream.
- Waffle cones, toppings and sundaes are excluded.
- You cannot get the deal if you are ordering for delivery or in-shop.
Summer may be winding down but the heat is not - a free scoop of ice cream can't hurt as a cool-down method when giving that hardworking air conditioner a break.
More summer food deals
Summer 2024 has been the season of food deals - from new value menus to anniversary celebrations, there are still plenty of opportunities to nab some freebies and discounts.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mountain Dew Baja Blast, Taco Bell will be offering Baja Blast Gelato, a limited-time frozen treat exclusive to the app, starting Sept. 3 Taco Bell customers can also get a $1 medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drink or regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze from 2-5 p.m. every day as part of the company's "Happier Hour."
Over at KFC, brand-new $5 deals were added to the Taste of KFC menu, including chicken nuggets and fries, the famous bowl with nuggets and two-piece drumsticks and thighs with mashed potatoes.
And if subs and sandwiches are more your speed, Jimmy John's has also launched a $10 value combo, the Total Package Meal, that includes an 8-inch sandwich, a bag of Jimmy Chips, a choice of dessert from cookies and brownies, and a regular-sized drink.
