Alexis Bellino is already making waves in the O.C.
During The Real Housewives of Orange County's season 18 premiere, Alexis and Shannon Beador came face to face for the first time since Alexis starting dating Shannon's ex-boyfriend John Janssen—and the conversation did not go well.
Making matters worse was the fact that Alexis' ex-husband Jim Bellino sued Shannon and costar Tamra Judge for defamation in 2018. (Shannon won the case against her in 2020.)
"I've been upset that you were involved in the lawsuit where your husband sued me and, as a single mom," Shannon told her during the July 11 episode, "I don't want to tear up, but for three years, I went through such emotionally and financial difficulties. I lost $300,000 defending myself for something that I didn't even do. And you started the lawsuit by sending me a cease and desist letter. You're part of it, Alexis."
The 60-year-old added, "I can be in a room with you, but I'm not interested in being best buddies. And I hope you can understand that."
And Alexis was on the same page.
"I'm not asking to be best buddies," she replied, before bringing up their connection to John, whom the 47-year-old started dating last year, one year after his split from Shannon. "I know this is uncomfortable for both of us, when you're the ex and I'm the new."
Alexis further denied sending a legal document to Shannon during her ex's lawsuit.
"Show me the proof of my name on anything," she added, "because Jim and I had been divorced for six months when he sued you. I had nothing to do with it."
In a confessional, Alexis called out what she believed to be the real source of Shannon's anger towards her.
"At this point I'm baffled," Alexis admitted. "None of it's the root of the problem. The root of the problem is you're mad that I have a boyfriend and you're not gonna win the battle with him."
And when she told Shannon to just move on from something that happened years ago, Shannon fired back, "Are you gonna write me a check for $300,000 dollars? John was there that whole time knowing the anguish that I went through."
This prompted Alexis to retort, "I think what the real issue is here is that I have your ex-boyfriend. Guess what? Move on. We're moving forward with our relationship."
As Alexis stormed away from the heated confrontation, Shannon yelled, "You know what, take John Janssen and I thank you for taking him from me!"
Alexis' response? She quipped, "And I'm thankful that he left you."
